The "Double Take" Reading Series by Wide Eyed Productions presents theatrical adaptations around different themes each month. Audience members get to vote to select which of the plays will be produced. For the flyer to promote this series, I illustrated the theme of adaptation by turning the pages of a book into a paper house. The paper art was a fun process and I would love to do it again. I set the house against a tableau of tchotchkes that correspond to the monthly themes. I added a game component that invites the viewer to do a “Double Take” and find these things in the image! The result is imaginative, surprising, and highly engaging.
Kristin Skye Hoffmann, Wide Eyed Productions: "Maya is always my go-to graphic designer. She is thoughtful, creative, a great listener and always professional. She honors her deadlines, is clear about drawing realistic expectations concerning rates and product. She never fails to stay in communication as she works. She is wonderful to work with and I think she spoiled me on hiring anyone else for my graphic design needs!"
